Did you know May is Mental Health Awareness Month? This year's theme is Life with Mental Illness. Do you yourself live with mental illness or live with someone who lives with it? Many people don't seek help because of the stigma. These illnesses are treatable. We need to keep working to help eliminate stigma so that less and less people suffer in silence. Reach out and reach in. Show empathy and compassion. Take time to connect with those you know. Support local efforts such as the NAMI walk on Saturday May 14th at 11am at Veteran's Park. Together we can make a difference.
